The Kiel.Lauf sends marathon, half marathon and relay runners along the Kieler Foerde, through downtown and out onto the Kiellinie promenade. The route hugs the water for long stretches, which means much of it runs at sea level with the Baltic in view, and the whole day doubles as a city party for everyone watching from the seawall.
Good to know before you book
- Expect street closures downtown on race day and plan to cover the distance between the old town and the waterfront on foot.

- Runners typically arrive the evening before, so the whole race weekend books up, not just the race night.
