Deck 8 sits in Dietrichsdorf on Kiel's eastern shore, with a view across the fjord towards the city and western bank. Open Tuesday to Sunday from midday into the evening, Deck 8 suits a late lunch as well as a relaxed dinner. As reservations are possible and, on fine evenings, advisable, it is worth securing a table by the window or with a fjord view in advance. The east shore is reached comfortably by ferry across the fjord, which makes the journey itself a small experience. Tip: plan the ferry crossing in daylight and let the evening wind down with a view of the lit-up city on the western shore.
